Who we are
Six cities in San Luis Obispo County, together with several Community Services Districts, have formed a coalition to develop a proposed model for emergency medical transportation services across the Central Coast. The proposal would bring local public governance, shared accountability, and coordinated planning to ambulance services, giving participating communities a direct role in shaping the system’s priorities and performance. Guided by our commitment to residents and visitors, we are exploring how this approach could strengthen service reliability, transparency, and responsiveness to community needs today and into the future.
What is a Public-Private Partnership?
A Public-Private Partnership brings together local government and a qualified private ambulance provider to deliver high-quality emergency medical services. By combining public accountability with private sector innovation, we are creating a modern EMS system focused on reliability, performance, and exceptional patient care.
